1. Who we are

Fortnoto ("we", "us") operates the fortnoto.com website and the Fortnoto platform. This policy explains what we collect through this website, in particular the private beta waitlist, and how we handle it.

2. What we collect

When you join the private beta waitlist we collect the details you provide: your name, email address, phone number and the nature of your business. We also record basic technical information with your submission (IP address, browser user agent and the page you signed up from) to protect the waitlist against abuse.

3. How we use it

We use waitlist information only to:

• contact you about the private beta, including your invitation, onboarding and launch updates;
• manage access waves in signup order and tailor onboarding to what your business does;
• keep the waitlist free of spam and duplicate or fraudulent entries.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for their marketing. We use trusted service providers, such as our email delivery provider, to operate the waitlist and contact you.

4. Legal basis and retention

We process waitlist data on the basis of your consent, in line with the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023 (NDPA). We keep it for as long as the beta programme runs, or until you ask us to remove you, whichever comes first.

5. Your rights

You can ask us at any time to access, correct or delete the information you gave us, or to withdraw from the waitlist entirely. If you want your data deleted, email us at hello@fortnoto.com.

6. Security

Waitlist data is stored on infrastructure with strict access controls and transmitted over encrypted connections. Access is limited to the team members who run the beta programme.

7. Changes

If this policy changes in a way that affects you, we will post the update here and note the new date above. Material changes will be flagged to waitlist members by email.
